Is Woody Allen more racist than Hitler?

Or is he just lost about writing black characters? does woody allen know any black people? does he fear black people? or is He just incompetent in understanding how the world works? his movies are stale, predictable and filled with stale, white actors or jewish, whom lack the comedic skills and acting. but hey, a lot of people seem to be getting more gullible, passive and ignorant, so, i'm not surprised they gobble up weak garbage without asking these questions about quality and diversity.

Woody Allen is an artist who stays true to his muse. He tells compelling stories about people in relationships. Not everyone will identify with the subjects and themes that Woody explores in his films, but he is not trying to be all things to all people. Suggesting that he is a racist is absurd on its face. You OP know this and if you don't you are an even bigger jerk than you sound like.

Give him credit for NOT writing about black people. If he did, just for the sake of being diverse, that would be disingenuous. His world is white, that's what he knows. I doubt he's making a conscious decision to exclude minorities.

Wasn't there a black character in Match Point?

reply

I don't remember,
However I do remember that in "Melinda and Melinda" the lead character had a romance with a black man.

There was a black guy in Match Point yeah - Nola's neighbour. I think so, anyway.

reply

Awwwwww Match Point. Such an underrated Woody Allen movie. The last 30 minutes of that movie is so unpredictable and bold

reply

Maybe you don't realize that the parts of society he's depicting weren't "diverse."

If he'd been accurate and had a black maid or Asian gardener etc. you would have said he was racist for stereotyping...

Besides someone who doesn't cast a movie with a quota hardly equates to someone trying to exterminate a portion of the world population.

reply

Failure to incorporate affirmative action in his films and comparing this to genocide is perhaps the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on IMDb.

reply

i always wonder why Tyler Perry doesn't make a movie about Bradd Pit being in a love triangle with Blake Lively and Jennifer Lawrence. I guess he doesn't get white people.

Thanks for a little smile. Touché

Just make a movie that makes me care, one way or another. I'm open.

Is Woody Allen - who apparently doesn't put enough minorities in his movies - more racist than Hitler - who was the leader of movement that rounded up and murdered millions of Jews, homosexuals, Poles, etc.?

I'm going with "no."

The real question is "Is cwade492-1 more stupid then the morons who call George Soros a Nazi collaborator?"

Janet! Donkeys!
