3/10. Here's why / Esta es la razón:
Like most filmmakers, Woody Allen has written and directed good and bad movies. As it has happened before with his other bad movies, CAFÉ SOCIETY is unoriginal and has forced and unnatural dialogue. However, it's his 1st bad movie where I didn't find a single character to be interesting. He also serves as the narrator and does that work in a very bland way. Jesse Eisenberg's chemistry with Kristen Stewart is merely decent, while his chemistry with Blake Lively is like a box where every chocolate is delicious, i.e. non-existent. While he's not known for it, Steve Carell has proven in the past that he doesn't need to overact to be funny. Here, there's something off about his performance. It feels like he does want to overact but is restraining himself. That's the kind of thing that says more about the director than the actor.

Moco la mayoría de los cineastas, Woody Allen ha escrito y dirigido películas buenas y malas. Como ha pasado con sus otras películas malas, CAFÉ SOCIETY no es original y tiene diálogos forzados y poco naturales. Sin embargo, es su 1ra película mala donde no encontré ni un solo personaje interesante. Él también hace de narrador y cumple ese trabajo de forma muy sosa. La química de Jesse Eisenberg con Kristen Stewart es simplemente decente, mientras que su química con Blake Lively es como una caja donde cada chocolate es delicioso, es decir, no existe. Aunque no es conocido por eso, Steve Carell ha probado en el pasado que no necesita sobre-actuar para ser chistoso. Aquí, hay algo mal con su actuación. Se siente como que sí quiere sobre-actuar pero se está conteniendo. Ese es el tipo de cosa que dice más sobre el director que el actor.
