Hopeless

I'll confess I stopped after about 30 minutes. Just a few comments:
1. SEALs they are not, far too old and out of condition.
2. "6 minutes to extraction" that goes on for more than 30 minutes.
3. Secret service acting like frightened children.
4. The mission commander doesn't want to listen to new information?
5. Zombies taking down a US fighting man easy peasy?? I'm British and I have more faith in US armed forces.

Acting is shoddy. Just being on a budget shouldn't mean a poor film.
I realise the title should be a warning of itself, but the actual premise of the 'zombie' condition was actually valid for once.

I'll add this(possibly minor spoilers):

6. These "highly trained SEALs" wouldnt last long against child suicide bombers since they cant bring themselves to kill obviously zombified kids.

7. Speaking of which, how is it more humane to tie a zombie kid down and leave it in the street rather than killing it?

8. If there are strict rules saying noone who is bit/infected can leave the area, would real SEALs really be okay with just asking everyone and trusting what they say? Full body check for injuries would be the least thing to do, especially if appearing a bit unhealthy like the VP and the woman that got on the chopper.

9. Are soldiers really supposed to wait for permission to fire when someone obviously hostile sprints towards them? Apart from not drawing attention, I dont think there would be any reason for them to not shoot in self defense, same as a police officer would.

10. Comic relief, sure. But the logic in making a joke about being infected, in this kind of scenario, with several SEALs pointing rifles at you..

This and an assortment of goofs, the two that comes to mind is the one where the seal asks the reporter if she still got the gun, way before giving it to her.

Then there's the rocketting of the bridge where the pilot confirms a hit before impact.

And for the redundancy, it lets you know at the end that the "United States Capital Washington DC, USA" is in the US, talk about a shocking twist!

Blocking anyone subscribing to the moronic alpha/beta tripe.

A truly great film. A pity you obtuse pig-apples are too dense to appreciate the artistry.

But here, I'll help you.

It's not an action film, but rather, a metaphorical art film. The zombies are not zombies, of course. The Soldiers are obviously not what they seem to be either. Could you not see what the director/writer were trying to say? Did you not see the rather simple clues you were given? What about Jesus? Surely you were able to understand how he was symbolically portrayed. And how about the well orchestrated cinematic protest of the situation in Ukraine? Cmon people, you need a roadmap?

This so-called "film" was both a religious, political, and artistic experience which has no equal this year. Perhaps not even in all of the last two years, to be honest. This film, will certainly be remembered.

If searching for a film which was as brilliant and excellent in concept and delivery, you'd have to go way back to "Manos: The Hands of Fate". Or, as some people claim, though I don't agree that it's anywhere near as good as Manos...."Pledge This" from back in 2006.

All of those were great films, but this one stands out, in my never-humble opinion.

Watch it again, pigs. And love it.

Love it, I tell you....LOVE IT!!

Metaphorical - I thought it was hysterical.

Zombie Arthouse is it - dude you need to lay of the jays when yer watchin the movies - they make everything seem brilliant!

Well kick my pooter... never heard "obtuse pig-apples" before.

Now I'm definitely gonna watch it.

reply

it didn't cross your mind that maybe this was a comedy making fun of seals & meant to be one ?

interesting but you should relx & take it easy.

reply

I know for a fact this was not meant to be a comedy. It's just a very poor movie is all.

Zombies taking down a US fighting man easy peasy??

Like most zombie movies, the ones presented here have superhuman strength...

...at least when the script called for it. While the wounded one in the storage locker was incredibly strong, others could easily be pushed away and manhandled.

reply

The movie had so many things wrong with it, I agree, none more totally idiotic than the little girl zombie plot device. but all the people saying wotst zombie movie I've ever seen and lowest budget zombie flick are way off base.

I've been on a zombie movie kick for months now and this is about my 75th and believe me, you guys have no idea how bad they can get. It looked like it had a 199 million dollar budget compared to some of the junk I've seen. you have probably seen only well financed films and TV episodes that cost a million or more each. this film is in the low end of the middle or the upper end of the bad, but nowhere near the bottom.

reply

I've seen a lot worse than this. A 6 in my book.
