Will there be a season 2???

shareAnime is not original. It's an adaptation of the manga, which itself is adaptation of a Web Comic.
There should be something to adapt from. Manga isn't going at a very fast pace like web comic. Give it 2-3 years until there's enough to adapt from. Then there will almost certainly be a season 2.
It really won't take that long man. If you think about it, One punch man only has 12 episodes per season. And they are barely 22mins long. The season just finished a few weeks ago. And the manga is a few chapters into the second season already. The webcomics are arguably well into the third season. As its unlikely the second season would go beyond anything after the Garou saga.
SPOILER ALERT!
My take is that the anime will flesh out a few other episodes from either flashbacks as seen in the bonus chapters in the manga, or expand on some other less important chapters like Bang and his rival dojo squabbles. However the monsters association arc as well as the Garou arc is still quite significant and lengthy. They will have to use all the material from the Fubuki and King mini arcs in the beginning to establishing the first few episodes of season 2.
Season 3 will most definitely start off with a bang as Saitama and Tatsumaki square off because of the turmoil she has with Fubuki. The rest of what awaits is unknown as of yet, since the webcomics only go so far. I think some spoilers being the new Heroes HQ citadel housing Saitama and possibly Metal Knight learning of Saitamas hidden powers, being that he did construct the new Heroes HQ and the security systems housed therein.
All in all, my guess is that season 2 will feature around the same time as it did last year. So I expect October 2016. By then those mangas will be well and truly into season 3 too.
They would want to finish the second season at Garou arc. And Garou arc is still ways off from finishing in the manga. It will take at least 1.5 years for it to finish in manga. So by that estimate it would take 2 years for a season 2. That's what I thought.
I doubt they'd fill the anime with fillers, reason being that it's only a single cour anime. The OVAs and specials are for that.
So I think it woould be around Summer or Fall 2017. Spring if we're lucky.
PS: Spring = April, Summer = July, Fall = October.
Dude its barely January, do you seriously think it will take them 18 months to write the monsters association and finish the Garou showdown at the end? What are they doing releasing a chapter every 3 months? lol.
If you are a betting man, I wager that it will be done by September if not August - thats over 8-9 months away. And they just need maybe another 50% more material, since they are 1/3 to 1/2 into season 2 already - with only the monsters association and the Garou Saitama fight at the end. And the anime will have all the material ready well before then so I am still wagering that by this time next year, we would of watched season 2.
Actually the manga is extending a lot before the TTM/Garou fight and MA arc.
So it's actually hard to predict how long this will go on for. They gave subtle hints about MA in the latest chapter.
