Interesting Time-Travel Concepts...

They can time-travel to a point before the accident and still have their abilities (see the first episode)meaning they are separate and detached from the timelines being created. Multiple timeline theory.

They time-travel along their own life but it seems the future timelines they enter is based on the point they left. (see first episode) (Quantum Leap Theory)

The apparently can keep jumping back and forth into the same future point and it's a clean slate (see second episode)each time they return to the future point.

They apparently can affect someone else's timeline without totally screwing up theirs (see second episode)(Localized event changes)

Somehow the further future (spoiler) event still happens even after they have made changes in the timeline.

reply

Two others things.

They can bring objects back and forth in time (See second episode)
Considering the methods of time-travel, this seems impossible.

Time continues on from "present" departure point as if they were still there
(See first episode)When they ended up in 2017, they were in a future based
on the events from the point they left as if it was lived by them, or some
part of them. (This is also reflected in the last scene of the episode where
they do to the future point AFTER the fixed up the bedroom - so WHO fixed it
up if they jumped!)

Now apparently there's ONE OTHER thing to add to their concept of Time Travel...

The girls clearly change events in the past in "A Time to Jump and Jam" (If you've seen the episode you'll know what I mean) but return to an UNALTERED PRESENT!

But we've SEEN ALREADY That they can go back, and change things and change the flow of things to a new PRESENT!

The rules of time travel on this show are there are no rules or consistency, my goodness didn't the creators create a show bible that lays down the dynamics of what can or cannot be done? Kids, even tween girls are not stupid!

Wait, this is the same channel with a talking dog....

reply

yea... this is the same channel that airs dwab dont even try and find any type of consistency near every episode of all their shows has massive plot contrivances

_______
It seems we living the American dream
But the people highest up got the lowest self-esteem

reply

But consider "Wizards of Waverly Place" they seemed to have continuity and the framework of magic constant.

reply

Yeah that seems a bit confusing, but I suppose we could assume that there past selves simply ran off, and by keeping there heads down avoided any consequences.

Thus the events didn't make any changes.

Still that episode did seem to stand out, from reading the info on future episodes, it seems the rule is change the past, will change the present.

Yeah I'll be honest, I would like that explored a bit better.

I suppose we could assume its a sort of Quantum Leap kind of deal, but if so what are the limitations of that?

reply

I wonder why they haven't tried to win the lottery yet.

"I guess it never hurts to 'shake it up'."

reply

Well there to young to buy a ticket, they could go to the future and try, but then they wouldn't get the winnings for several years.
