Tom Selleck is one of those...

actors that once I start watching him I have to go back and watch everything else I have of him.

I'm in the middle of binge watching Season 5 of Blue Bloods and I flipped around and found this new Jesse Stone was in the works. Finally! And from what I've read, maybe 2 more in the future. Happy!

Last night I took a break from Blue Bloods and popped in Quigley Down Under. In a little bit I'm going to break for Monte Walsh. And after finishing Season 5, I got the feeling I'm going to have to rewatch all of the Jesse Stones. It'll be my 4th time through.

And Tom, from one Detroiter to another... Thanks!

I'm excited, too, that the series will continue. Tom Selleck is such a pleasure to watch, and his personal ethics and values make him that much more a respectable person. I wish more of the old cast would be appearing--Gino Fish, Rose, Molly, and Hasty especially. And of course, we'll miss Reggie.
I hope this continues with the greater debth attributable to Michael B.'s writing.

Can't wait for this either. I've been watching the entire Magnum PI series on DVD just to get prepared : ). Do we know for sure that Gino Fish, Hasty, and Rose, etc. won't be in this movie? IMDB doesn't have much of the cast listed yet so maybe there's still hope....

Including Daughters of Satan? He mentioned it recently on Kelly & Michael.

High Road to China is a good film with Selleck.

Do you mean his personal ethics during the water shortage, wherein he was busted for scamming more water than he was entitled to? That's so respectable.

Don't get me wrong. I love Tom's work (Quigley Down Under). However, I love Roman Polanski's & Woody Allen's, too.

Personal ethics have nothing to do with my appreciation of talent.

Good morning,
From an ethical standpoint you put Tom Selleck in the same category and Roman Polanski and Woody Allen? If so, you are a fool.Tom Selleck has a ranch and was trying to get enough water to run his ranch. Hwe was not filling swimming pools and making water falls. I would bet that he paid more money per gallon of water used than any homeowner in the area.

You would lose. The rates are uniform.

As far as water goes in a desert - I am aware of a Bellaire resident with a $90,000.00/mo water bill. That person keeps delaying their case, creating a year's long delay in the revealing that scofflaw.

With El Niño we are starting to see water again, but a 1,500 year drought is not resolved by a single wet season.

Where money buys everything - then everything has a price, but no value.

Trees are a long term investment. You wouldn't want to let them die because of a few years of drought. Avocado trees can be quite large and produce a lot of avocados, so it doesn't make sense to let them die. Also, large trees provide a lot of shade and cooling for an area, and can reduce the amount of energy spent on air conditioning.

Here's the thing, even films that were sub par or pedestrian, he's still oozing out the confidence and charm.

Runaway is one of my favorites and heck, I'd even watch Lassiter if it was ever on.

Quigley is great! Watch the original Monte Walsh--with Lee Marvin.

I'll give you one he was in that is a guilty pleasure of mine. He has a supporting role in it, it's called TERMINAL ISLAND. That is 70's schlock-horror-tna flick. You can't help but watch it, it's like witnessing a plane crash right before your eyes. It's so bad, it's good. On a side note, Roger E. Mostly has a supporting role in it. Yes, T.C. himself.

Selleck didn't scam anyone out of water. This was a political turf fight between two water districts. More people than Tom Selleck were caught in the middle.

A company had a contract to buy water from a water district. They were given access to a hydrant with a meter attached to get a truck load at a time which they did.

Then someone reported the truck thinking they were doing something illegal. There was an expensive investigation. All they could find was that Selleck and a few others were just over that district's boundary.

After all the free publicity, that district is still selling water to Selleck and the others but at a higher rate. This is reclaimed water not judged fit for humans to drink. Selleck like the others uses it for his horses and some avocado trees at his home.

Follow-ups are usually buried on page 20 of your newspaper.
