Interestingly enough, in my moderately-sized high school, there were two achon females, two grades ahead of me. One had mild-impairments, which I'm not sure were due to achondroplasia or not. (Like if she had hydrocephalus--common in achondroplasia--that wasn't treated in time and caused damage.) The other girl was one heck of a talented cheerleader. She was on the squad, and it was no pity-acceptance; she did back-hand springs better than most. I've never seen her on Facebook, otherwise I'd add her.
I've had relatives who have met some of the Roloffs ("Little People, Big World") because their farm is pretty close to where they live. Even I live only about an hour and a half from there, but I've never been.
My grandpa had a little person cousin, but ai never met him. Ocassionally, I have seen LPs in daily life beside seeing those two students almost daily for two years. Maybe seeing them regularly is why I hardly take notice of LPs when I've seen them. When I watch these reality shows, I definitely forget they're LPs.
