What's your take on Lila?

I honestly can't decide what I think of her. I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the feeling that there's something a bit off with her. But occasionally during the episode she seemed pretty nice and normal. Then something would happen (her hitting on her friend's boyfriend, for instance) and I would be like, "okay...this chick has something really off with her."

So what are your thoughts? I really just can't put my finger on what it is about her that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's her voice or just the way she carries herself. Not sure.

I know what you mean. At first I thought she was fun, funny and a little ditzy, when she visited the girls in LA. But then she seemed weird.. hard to explain, maybe it started when she made a big deal out of the dildo for the camping trip. Kind of like she's just pretending to be sweet and fun-loving and acts all innocent if someone calls her out, all wide-eyed and quiet but out of it at the same time. But it still seems odd. Like something sinister lurks beneath. That sounds harsh but I get a weird vibe from her too. Maybe just not quite right in the head?

I started a thread about her on the LA board a while ago. This is what I said:

"There's something about Lila that seems very odd and unstable. She chooses her words a little too carefully and doesn't seem at ease, even with the women she calls friends.

She's probably heard women joke about vibrators, so she decides to pull out her big power tool in front of a friend's husband (Inappropriate!) and proceeds to talk and talk and talk about it some more......and then talk about it again in the tent. There was probably even more footage that was edited out. She thinks it's "cool" to talk about vibrators, but doesn't know how to do it in a cool way, if that makes any sense. Even when she screamed, "Oh, kill me," it sounded unnatural and uncool. She seems sort of like a prim and proper woman who is trying to act tough, but ends up coming across as unhinged."

I thought she was a little nutty on LW:LA, initially I was not going to watch this because she annoyed me, but read Elena was on, wanted to see how that played out, so I watched. At first I thought she was kind of funny on this one, then I went back to my original thought that she is nutty. Hitting on her friends guy, just proved everything Terra was saying. It seemed as if she thought the guy was going to be reciprocate her feelings, but then again I don't think she actually has feelings for the guy, she just seemed to want to compete with her friend, who might I add is adorable. She may be worse than any of the LA cast, got the impression her "friends" might already know that, though. She behaved like a backstabbing friend who tells anyone her friend's secrets.
I liked most of the cast, the divorced lady behaved rather odd though. Well that is how I feel about it, she started off with basically saying she married him because that's what her friends were doing, not for the right reasons, then cheated. It's been over for 8 yrs, she's in love w/someone else and she freaks out when someone mentions it, granted Elena went about it the wrong way, but I am not sure if Elena meant to come off that way. I get there are no time lines for getting over something or someone, heck I cry whenever the fam brings up my grandfather and it's been 15 yrs, but if I was still crying over my ex, I think my hubby might get upset. Tmi I think. Lol

How do you feel about the rest of the cast?

Lila was so out of line when she talked to her friend's boyfriend. She's the worst kind of friend! A good friend would be creeped out by another friend's boyfriend saying that he was attracted to her, and yet Lila was dying for him to confess that he wanted her as much as she wanted him.

Lila's phone sex voice is annoying too!!!

Her voice kills me and sounds so put on. And exactly, she was fishing for him to say he'd date her if the gf wasn't around.

My thoughts on Lila have changed. I felt somewhat sorry for her when she was with the LA women, thinking that Terra and Joe were making up drama about her. The way she was flirting with Jordanna's bf was wrong on so many levels. Also, did anyone notice the way she booked it when Elena asked Jason about his sexuality. Yes, Elena shouldn't have brought that up, but Lila was the one who told her in the first place.

I think Lila is just wacky and quirky. That's her personality. She's pretty insecure too, which is why she tries so hard.

I think she's interesting though...bc there's a lot about her that makes you go "Hmmm...now something isn't right here." I'm interested in her backstory.

Agreed. Lila is a button-pusher for sure. I think she needs a therapist and needs to grow out of that self-loathing stage. That is suppose to end when you are entering your 30's (she looks about 28+). She desperately wants love and to be loved -- something I was wanting in my puberty stage but grew out of once I gained confidence -- but doesn't have the self-confidence or esteem to do so. Needs help for sure.

I haven't watched LA so I'm only judging by the premiere of NY, but she seems really fake to me. Right from her first confessional where she was talking about her sobriety, everything she said seemed very calculated and rehearsed, and she's the same even in conversations with people.

My take? My take is that she seems like when you meet her, you're like "oh she seems like a nice person, I'll hang out with her." Then, over time, you find out she's batchit crazy and defriend her on Facebook and Instagram cause you can't take her crap anymore.

This is how I feel also. One minutes she's likable, then the next she does something totally rude. Plus, her eyes have this blank look that's kinda devoid of emotion. Kinda like Terra from the L.A. group. They both have this blank stare/monotone speech pattern thing going on. It's strange. I definitely gave her the side eye when she was hitting on her friend's boyfriend. Not cool at all.
