"This has legs, for as long as we want it to."
That was the very last line of the series , delivered by Dean Sanderson.

shareDoes this have some hidden meaning?
Is the show actually taking a break & coming back on a different venue?
The Grinder has such an overwhelmingly positive response from those lucky enough to have discovered it -- it seems like a wise investment to the venue who can help it go viral.
It does not make sense. They renew The Odd Couple and get rid of this. Uy Vey.
sharePretty sure the scene was filmed after they were cancelled. Statements like "this works" was just some dark humor on how it really did work but it didn't matter in the end.
It was a very good show. Unfortunately, most of Americans are dumb as rocks that need in your face type punch lines and a live audience laughing or laugh tracks to tell them what is funny.
Probably a shot at Fox for not "getting" the show.
Critics loved it - so their idea was understood, but FOX is too stupid to buy in.
Maybe Netflix or Amazon Prime will pick it up. It has the feel of a Netflix show anyway. Too sophisticated for network television.

Do you think a statement like this makes you seem smart? There have been some unbelievably stupid sitcoms in American television history and some really smart funny ones. Some last way to long others are cut short and then there are the ones that are great and last 5 to 10 years. "The Office" and "Parks and Rec" are 2 recent ones that didn't have "in your face type punch lines" or laugh tracks and were around quite awhile.
My point is that to call a whole country stupid for what is ultimately in the control of a few tv execs is just intellectually lazy.
Perfect end to a perfect season. Bloody hell they cancelled this???
And the looks on the faces of everyone in the room as he said it was spot on
well.....
I'm not so sure...
hmmm.... lets... you know..er....
this show was brilliant at nailing the tropes but also being self referential - man so annoyed this was cancelled
still, it ended well, loved it!

Netflix should do for this show what it did for Arrested Development.
shareHello, Akrisluvskev!
I totally agree. I have not been able to find a way into Netflix to pledge support for that to happen. Do you have any information or ideas on what we can do?
