to BACK OFF on the ultra-closeup facial shots. Good grief. If that is what you have to do to create 'drama', you have a dog of a show on your hands.

Yes, this is my first post on this board, and no, I am not a troll. I just got so frustrated I had to speak out. I would not be watching if there were not aspects of the show I like. If I can remember what they are, I will return with a more positive comment. Peace out.

Yeah they go WAY overboard with the closeups.

I don't mind the closeups, it's the shaky cam that bothers me.

I don't mind the closeups either, it's the jerky zooming that annoys me. It's like they're using a camera without a motor.

Agreed! I'm sick of Jane's ONE expression (confusion & anxiety) and they always want to zoom in on it. UGHHH.

Used to bother me TOO...not just in this show, but also others.

I always thought: I don't need to see the pores in someone skin, or up someone nose to get a sense of what they are feeling.

THEN...

I learned to do what the director/camera wanted me to do...look in their eyes; forget everything else in the closeup and just LOOK IN THEIR EYES!

If the actor does it right, everything needed to immerse you in what the character is feeling will be right there.
