Sorry but this Nas/Weller hooking up

just isn't working; they have ZERO chemistry and it all feels forced to me. I don't know why the writers can't see this b/c I know some viewers I've spoken w/don't like it at all, they actually HATE them as a couple. Nas is falling very hard for Weller, she acts like she's ready to "settle down" and for them to get married. I hate Weller w/Nas its time for them to go their separate ways- she's way too clingy and Weller will get sick of soon I hope. Does anybody else not like them together? As I said I've seen a few threads and replied to people who can't stand them w/each other but is their others who don't like them together as well???

reply

I totally agree with you! I can't believe the writers went that way because, as you said, they have NO chemistry whatsoever.

reply

I agree!I hate them as a couple! I've always wanted Jane and Kurt together, but this season really messed it up for me.

reply

I always felt like Jane plus Kurt was forced and creepy.. I mean she's amnesia girl with my name tatted on my back.. He basically willed her Into being the girl his father killed.. And why was he so hung up on her anyway he was like 10 when she vanished/died she woulda been like 7 or 8... Then every episode he puts himself with her and puts reade and Zapata on b squad... Always seemed creepy to me. But they're to two white heterosexual leads. so no matter the circumstances them pairing up is "organic" and not forced

reply

I agree. It just feels pointless. Chemistry issue aside, there is no need for it. Kurt and Jane have already more than enough issues to keep them apart from each other without needing a relationship keeping them apart.

reply

The only reason she was even brought onto the show, along with this sudden trumped-up relationship was because Stapleton and Alexander can't stand each other in real life. Early on in the show, they were obviously going for a Jane/Kurt romance, but as things deteriorated between the actors, the producers decided to go in this direction instead.

Stapleton and Alexander can't stand each other in real life

I don't like to see that kind of claim with no sources given.

reply

Multiple sources have been reporting this for quite some time now. You have access to Google... knock yourself out.

There are also articles that dispel this gossip.

Some say gossip, others say fact.

I think what we see taking place on screen speaks for itself.

I wouldn't care either way if she were the one-and-only. But, he was AllUpon Jane, has a baby on the way with WhatsHerName, AND NOW is making the beast-with-two backs with Nas.

What...Patterson is next!?

Still hating Nas and Weller together.

I wish she would go or better yet die. I was hoping she was the mole.

Can't say I'm loving it...just don't mind it; because (for me), it's OUTSIDE the story.

Anyway...

They’ve given her no qualities that endear her to the audience...either as someone to root for, OR as someone to hate (Shepherd).

Not once have we ever seen an internal emotion to help the audience connect to and/or define her.

For all her emotional depth, Kurt may as well be sleeping with a mannequin.

In this second half of the season they seem to have removed all of her qualities but just before the break, the constant disregard for Jane's safety and willingness to use Jane as a weapon really made me hate her.

reply

Their pairing is too intrusive and isn't really offering much in terms of plot development (unless Nas is a mole too, which will affect Weller later on). Plus, you're right, the actors have no chemistry together (Kurt's actor doesn't seem to have it with Jane, either).

reply

I think Jane/Kurt do have chemistry on screen; I don't care if they hate each other in real life they suppose to be freaking professional actors so quit acting like spoiled children and do your damn job you are getting I'm sure a hefty pay check so just do it. One of the most romantic love story the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger - well
Debra Winger HATED Richard Gere but she did her role in the movie and it was a success. I didn't even know Winger hated Gere until I read about it after I saw the movie, I was like 15 years old and Richard Gere was one of my dream guys at the time. Of course Kiefer Sutherland was my all time dream guy, I had posters everywhere of Kiefer Sutherland and Rob Lowe; but Kiefer is STILL my favorite, Gere not so much. Also look up Sofia Bush and Chad Michael Murray and One Tree Hill - GOOGLE it, Sophia was a professional actress w/class who had to work w/her ex-husband and have love scenes to top it off - Now I can understand Sophia would want to back out but she held her head up high and did her scenes like a pro; just GOOGLE it please. I'm just saying these actors portraying Weller/Jane need to get over themselves and do their job, besides they do have chemistry onscreen as Weller/Jane that could take the romantic route.

reply

I never heard that Stapleton and Alexander didn't get along. Even if that is so, I don't see how it on screen.

I don't see any of that on screen either, I've also never read actual articles about Stapleton and Alexander not getting along on the set.

Now I did read years ago about Debra Winger/Richard Gere feud and problems on set while making the movie. I also read about Sophia Bush/Chad Michael Murray's problems but Sophia Bush handled it like a pro and did her scenes w/him and called it a day - she said it was her job for the show One Tree Hill and just did their scenes and didn't have much to do w/him on the set, for OBVIOUS reasons of course.

I've seen some articles, but all of the articles also includes a statement from someone's rep saying that it's baloney. If you look at any of their social media, they all seem fairly friendly...As long as there are no physical or verbal altercations that we hear about, what does it matter? We all have some coworkers we get along with better than others and some people that we put on our 'adult' hat on for and tolerate them.

reply

You're right, if they have personal issues they should still get on with their job, just like other actors have in the past. But i'm actually laying the blame more at Kurt's actor, because he doesn't seem to like any of his love interests on the show, okay, maybe the one he is having a baby with, but we know Jane is the endgame.

reply

I got the feeling from the last episode that Nas IS the mole.

I agree that they have no chemistry and their "love story" feels forced. Not only was there no reason for them to get together in the first place, but that they suddenly feel strongly enough about each other to do anything to keep the other from being hurt, even acts that are really stupid, is unbelievable.

There's no basis for them to go from being contentious at work (she's interfering, he resents her authority and that she took over his cases) to civil (putting aside the grudge to take down Sandstorm) to deeply devoted to each other to the point one might sacrifice their life to save the other. It's absurd and even less believable than the fact that Sandstorm knows what will happen and when, even though they couldn't possibly know that far in advance, especially in the grand scheme of things (knowing about them, working out a plan that involves them, tattooing it on Remy/Jane, and so on).

This show had promise but lately I've been really reluctant to watch the latest episode.
