Message Boards Closing

According to the message above, IMDb is closing down ALL Message Boards on 2/19/2017.

They've given us about two weeks to archive-and-say-goodbye.

Anyone scoped out any alternate forum(s) where you will be posting about the show?

Someone on the "NCIS" board posted a possibility. I put the links in a reply to you but when I hit the "Preview" button, those links didn't show up. Here's a link (hopefully) to the thread on the "NCIS" board I'm referring to:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364845/board/nest/265748109

I only briefly checked out the site named in the thread title so I don't know if there are boards for every TV show and movie like we're used to here but you might want to investigate it more thoroughly. Good luck.

Thanks.

Will give it a try and see what's-what?

I, along with a couple other posters on the "NCIS" board, registered with the imdb2 site (freeforums.net). I haven't really checked it out yet though (I'll do that later) but I hope it will be a decent place to talk about TV shows and movies.

http://imdb2.freeforums.net/ If enough people try it out it could be good I think.

Hello everyone!
With IMDB closing the doors on their message boards, everyone seems to be looking for a place to immigrate to. If you are looking for a place to discuss tv shows in general, as well as specific tv shows, then I would suggest you check out ITV (the Internet Television Forum). It is a work in progress, with shows still needing to be added, but it is well on its way to being a viable, and great, replacement to the imdb message boards. Here is the url: http://itv.freeforums.net/

There is also this forum if you are interested in a Real Housewives-themed forum.

If you are enjoy participating in Movie Awards discussion, then http://movie-awards-redux.freeforums.net/ is where you need to be.

I've been using an app called TVShowTime to track my shows and they have message boards. It's pretty good, I haven't had any problems with it yet. It also allows pictures and upvoting on comments... that might be good or bad, depending on everyone's preferences haha...

Imdb just does not like what people post. It goes against their stupid critics

IMDB is making a MAJOR MAJOR CATSTROPIC GIGANTIC MISTAKE in my opinion!

Without the boards for the movies shows etc there is NO REASON to visit IMDB so they are shooting themselves in the foot IMHO!

If they really want to "monitize" them add adsense to them or sell ads, etc.

What MORONS!
