The old player

So that old player he asked about buy never got an answer...was his ex wife. Calling it now. Yes that dead dude was at the beginning. But I don't think that was the player. I think one of the bets was him vs one of the terrorists he took out as an FBI agent. She saved him...they fell in love. Blah blah. Fast forward a few years and she wants out. So her blonde friend "the dealer" helps her get out. Snipes said it was a lifetime commitment. So they knew the only way to get her out was by "killing her". That's why snipes brought the body in. Why she was divorcing him but they still got along. Neither of them wanted a divorce but she knew she had to sever ties and that would push him to become the player.

I like that theory. 😃

And the "dead dude" at the beginning was A Player, I figured (unless there couldn't be another one while the ex wife was...?). It was "disappointing," and at the end Wesley said, "Don't disappoint me."

So that picture at the very end was his wife and the dealer? I think I might suck at recognizing faces...

Yeah. At the very end when she's going through old pics and she stops on her And the ex wife. It's an older pic of the two of them.

*side note: am I the only one who thinks the "dealer" looks like Brittany Murphy?

He could have been another player. Maybe he was called in to take her out and she shot first. Killed him. So then the blonde helped set up a disappearance.
