Had a very serious tone for a cartoon-monster slasher. I don't think it was horrible but I didn't hear much of a plot besides pretty girlz battling the CGI monster.

yeah more comedy slasher but it didnt work as a serious slasher film

The acting was better than what the Asylum ones are like. I glad they didn't play off a gimmick to get viewers. Maybe a origin one with the witches will be next.

This isn't garbage.
I enjoyed this movie. I can't believe it is a tv movie, cause it looks like a direct to blu-ray or a theatrical film. It doesn't have a tv movie look to it.
The movie had more missteps than anything. Unlikable leads, and the tolerable one died off first. And it was just the three main girls screaming a lot, which was unbearable. Why bother introducing the other characters if they're just slasher fodder? Should've kept Alex at least. The monster itself was too one-dimensional to even be scared of. And am I only one tired of these Syfy movies occurring in the same Canadian forests? It makes them all look alike. Just around the corner, folks, we have Grave Halloween... Anyway, better than some of the other Syfy movies, but that is a very low bar.
shareI liked they used plant life for the creature like in The Ruins movie. The cast girls was to me more likeable than that movie was.It This didn't have the budget that movie had so the use in find the cheapest atmosphere works for this. SyFy more than made there money back the first hour in commercials cost paying for it.
shareTheir constant screaming throughout the whole movie was really disturbing (not in a good way) and really started to grate pretty soon into the movie. It didn't let up until the end credits rolled. Pass this movie if the thought of 3 stupid women yelling throughout the whole movie doesn't appeal to you.
