Charlie Hunnam really messed up passing on this series

This is why you can't let people around you get into your head. Two blockbuster movies in the series and Hunnam's King Arthur keeps getting delayed. Bad move!

He was to beefy...he still had another season of SOA to film, so he couldn't lose weight..and he didn't want to commit to 3 movies...and I just didn't get that vibe from him..he was Jax to me..loved his show, and loved Pacific Rim..but just not Christian for me.

reply

Are you kidding? He probably saved his career, or at least his integrity, by passing on this garbage.

what career? His movie are terrible

reply

And...these movies aren't?

reply

Hell no! Charlie Hunnam was, and still is too good for this garbage. He did himself a favor by passing on this crap.

Hunan didn't "pass." He was fired. He was never a good fit for the role. He's not good looking enough--his eyes are WAY too close together-- and he gives off a chav vibe. Here's a Wall Street Journal article on the subject.

Don't tell me you love animals if that's cow muscle on your plate.

Spoken like a true Jamie Dornan fan! Also very classy to provide half a story and then half to pay for the rest!

Hunnam dodged a bullet.

Whew! Hunnam dodged a bullet worth millions in remuneration and free publicity, not to mention a fanbase of millions of women worldwide for his next film. Lucky, lucky Hunnam.

Hunnam is gonna be King Athur!

Jamie is gonna play a supporting character in Robin Hood with a shaved head!

Some Critics even said This franchise make Dornan and other cast member easy target or feels sorry for him because character Christian Grey had zero plot. Charlie done a good thing. When producers and directors said he have to play CG like he is in the books with no changing in the character he back out. The fact is Christian is the most pathetic written character ever. Even in the book he was nothing but a angry man throwing fits or having sex.

Regarding Dornan's fanbase.

From Deadline Hollywood

http://deadline.com/2017/02/fifty-shades-darker-lego-batman-john-wick-chapter-2-box-office-1201907911/

Females gave the E.L. James sequel an A- at 79%, as did the under-25 bunch at 21%. Fifty-four percent came out because they’re fans of the book, 29% for Jamie Dornan, and 21% for Dakota Johnson.

I think producers of future films will be able to figure out what hiring Dornan will do for their movie.

And where is the data you have provided?

Don't tell me you love animals if that's cow muscle on your plate.

reply

No, it's why the words "scheduling conflicts" are the best excuse ever in Hunnam's case. Especially after having seen the trailer for The Lost City of Z (2016), which may be Oscar bait, but at least it's Oscar worthy in comparison to 50 Shades.

Transformers movies are box office hits, too. But they aren't great movies.

Why do they give out letter jackets to marching band? It's not a sport! We all know it!

reply

I'm glad he dropped out. Also, wasn't working with EL James rough? The first movie sounded like a huge headache to film.

reply

Hi GlitterMoon, I don't know why people are claiming dropping out of Fifty Shades ruined Hunnam's career. Besides his King Arthur film, he's completed The Lost City of Z which looks amazing, and Papillon with Rami Malek. He appears to be doing just fine.
