Are women really THAT dumb?

Why did this movie make so much money at the box office? Terrible reviews, no special effects, and no A-list actors. I assume those are the main reasons people watch movies in theaters. Why would you waste money on this garbage? Maybe I am butthurt about John Wick 2 not beating 50 shades of garbage at the BO.

This is no science fiction movie, you know!

Reviews have nothing to do with how well a movie does. It's all about sales. Plus it's a movie based off a popular book. There's no maybe about it. If you're butthurt, you're butthurt and you are.

Why are people like you so bothered if something is popular among women? They like it. Sorry not sorry people don't have the same opinion as you. How does it concern you?

reply

Mainly because the books sold over 100 million copies...that is a lot of fans..you guys have your movies..so we complain?..nope.

reply

Exactly. You don't see women going on every message board of super hero movies saying

"Why are guys so into this? Why are they promoting violence? Why do you like these films, they're not even realistic? wahhhhhh 😭"

Is this where we pretend that men don't spend a fortune at the box office on uninspired action movies, starring ex wrestlers or expressionless old men?

I'm with you on the whole A-list actor thing. I furiously wrote EL James letters several years ago, begging her to cast Kathy Bates as Ana. Kathy's won numerous awards, including an Oscar, and nominated over a hundred times. That's talent! No brainer, right?

And Christian--don't get me started on that fiasco. You'd think my choice of Vincent Schiavelli would've been heard. Ok, yes, I know what you're going to say, 'But the guy has been dead since 2005, Stacy.' I can see where that can be a problem, but so is Kirk Douglas, it's just nobody has told him yet and look how great he looks.' There's just no rhyme and reason with these Hollywood execs. You can bang your head on the wall all day long, but it does no good.

I wrote EL asking her to contact Danny DeVito's agent for Christian Grey during casting.

For some reason, she did not reply. I just don't understand!

Hm.

Ms. Stacy, you are at your naughty best as usual, but I agree, Kathy Bates would have been spectacular as Ana. She open to nudity, can handle drama and comedy and has a terrific fanbase. Frankly I thought the late, great Christopher Lee would have wowed it as Christian but he upped and died on me...sheeeez.

Regarding our poor butthurt OP, though I haven't used it, I've heard Preparation H works wonders.
