I hope so. I'm even sick of the sequel mill, but I think there's potentially a really interesting story here. I hope I'm wrong, but Alien: Covenant looks pretty derivative.

On Reddit people are saying this was canceled in favor of Ridley's recent push for more Alien films done by himself.
But I am not sure where they heard that from. Could be reliable information they've heard or just wild guesses.

I like that concept art on the main page. Aliens with military gear/tech is frightening. How did they become docile enough to not attack humans?
