Terrible mistake

This is a wonderful series for Hallmark but, why would they change the cast from the original? It makes no sense to me as they all seemed to have a strong chemistry. Plus, it threw me off for the last two movies as I couldn't help but wonder why such a well working cast would be substituted for lesser quality and chemistry. Any answers out there?

I didn't really pay attention...

for me both the husbands work, I've liked steve bacic in a lot of stuff that he's done....and the first actor who plays her husband, I don't know him that much...so although I had to look twice, in that's a different guy, other then that it didn't bother me

perhaps the other actors had other commitments....who knows....I haven't seen this movie, yet, not sure when I am, as I do not have the hallmark channel....

but what happened to her children.....that's what I want to know

If you haven't already had a chance to see it, the son is the same actor but the daughter is different and to me she looks younger. And the young detective her daughter was starting to date is gone. The new detective is older and he seems to be a friend of the family.

They switched out the actor for the son in the most recent movies in the Garage Sale Mystery series, too.
For me, that's the biggest mistake they've made. Brendan Meyer was one of the only reasons I watched these movies. To switch him out for a kid who looks nothing like him.. it's a huge continuity issue, but also a chemistry issue.. but I guess all that matters to the people who make these movies is that Lori Loughlin is still available. As long as she is, they'll keep churning them out, even if they have to replace other actors who are no longer available.
At least in the Good Witch series, the actors stayed mostly the same. Kept things authentic-feeling.

or I just saw that steve is on when calls the heart with her...maybe that's why they changed him as her husband...

I have not seen that series...but I will soon......when the hockey playoffs are over.......cbc has promised it this summer...

Hannah is definitely younger! In the first movie she was off to law school in the fall. In this movie she's a junior in college...I haven't seen the third yet.

Even if they changed the actor it would have been nice if they kept the ages consistent.

the new boy playing the son looks younger and nothing like the one (brendan meyer)
who originally played him...

Brendan has been busy...he is acting, writing, and directing...so think he was too busy to be able to make more of these movies...it;s a shame...I liked him...he was quirky.

not sure why they replaced the daughter
