Boring Show

I never watched TLC's Little People, Big World, but I do like to watch The Little Couple, especially now that they've adopted internationally (partly because I am an international adoptee as well). But this show is straight up boring. I definitely get this sense that the mom, Michelle, is super happy with having a show, like she seems to have a ready-made TV personality: she's pretty candid and comfortable with the camera to the point of appearing fake. But her husband doesn't seem real into it and it reminds me a lot of the dwindling years of Jon & Kate Plus 8.

The reason I like Bill and Jen from The Little Couple is because they seem completely at ease as themselves, like they never come across as if they're trying hard to make their lives more interesting, they just kind of tell it like it is. Plus, I think their lives are actually more interesting because they both have careers; Jen, being a neo-natal specialist, often brings the cameras into her work and holy hell, you actually can learn something while watching a show on a network called The Learning Channel. The mom in this show (and Kate Gosselin) only have motherhood going for them, which is fine, but it's pretty mundane TV when an episode devotes a good hunk of run time to potty training toddlers.

She struck me a another Kate Gosselin in the making also. She is more than willing to show up at a National Monument with her camera crew in tow, but she is screaming at everyone around her not to take pictures. I saw the first two episodes, and I won't be watching more.

I'm throwing in the towel after tomorrow's episode, because I want to see just how many people are actually aiming their phone cameras at them. In the footage, there's no way to tell if those people are taking photos of the family or various things at the Lincoln Memorial around them. It's a pretty picturesque location, it would have to be very obvious that cameras are being aimed at them and you know what, that's kind of what you could expect when you have a film crew following you, drawing even more attention to the fact that there's a little family trundling around a busy tourist attraction. This is Kate Gosselin territory for sure.

I haven't watched the show but I have DVR'd the episodes. After reading what everyone is saying I'm probably just going to delete them. As far as people photographing them...I can't see it. I don't know anyone who would take pictures of people simply because they were little people. I mean if it were famous little people then maybe but no one knows who these people are....even with them having a film crew. I think it was probably staged for the show but I could be wrong.

I think you should watch some episodes and decide for yourself if you like it or not versus passing it up because of other people's opinions. I like the show and I don't think Michelle is another Kate G. Kate can be abrasive, very controlling, and downright bitchy. In my opinion, Michelle just comes across as a vocal and confident woman. I find the children to be adorable although the twins do whine a bit much. I don't think Jack sounds like a 3 yr old, especially if you pay attention to details like content and vocabulary. It seems to me that he has a slight speech impediment. Everyone is different, so I'd watch the show and draw my own conclusion.

I love 'The Little Couple'. Bill and Jen are so real, down to earth and loveable. Will and Zoey are cute and loveable.

This family.. Not so much. The mom doesn't seem likeable to me, the twins aren't cute, and Jake seems more like a 3 year old than a 6 year old. And yes, I agree with what everyone is saying how she's a lot like Kate. Something about this whole family just seems off to me. They don't seem very real to me

I agree. Especially after a whole three weeks of this show, and Michelle wants a new house. Hmm, wonder how that'll get funded? All the signs have already pointed toward another Kate Gosselin, but now it looks even more likely. This show isn't interesting because three-year-olds and a six-year-old have to be sub-titled all the time, every "interesting part" seems to come right when a new camera shot is made (*cough* staged *cough*), and Michelle reminde most of us of Kate.

The way I understood it they decided to stay in their current house and make better use of the space they are in now.
