Jonah Hill basically stared in the male remake of the movie called The Sitter.

why can't women be chefs in restaurants? Why can't women be constructions workers? Because those are sterotypicla "manly" jobs. Where "womanly" jobs (teachers/nurses,etc) are more about 'caring' .. so

Since most kids young enough to be babysat usually prefer to play with children of their own gender, it is logical to assume that boys would prefer male babysitters, and I once read that is the case.
Child actors/stars can earn a lot of money, but that is controlled by their parents and child stars don't usually get to spend thousands of dollars on anything they want. I once read an interview where a child star, Fred Savage, I think, casually mentioned that he babysat.

Heh. They can be, but many parents are not comfortable with leaving their children in the charge of a teenage boy. Mindsets still hold, regardless of what we tell ourselves.

If you believe this show, the parents in both versions of Adventures in Babysitting were rather lucky to get the dedicated babysitters they hired.
A lot of the pranks in this show are scaring babysitters. And some of the babysitters run out of the room screaming in terror without dragging all the kids along with them. They get scared and run away leaving some of the kids behind. And then before they can decide whether to go back for the kids they are told it is a prank.
And at least one of those scared babysitters seemed to be a man.
