Are you serious?

You can't make a *beep* remake of one of my favorite childhood movies. Someone needs to destroy all evidence. Now!

As I mentioned earlier. I wonder how many kiddies will think it's a totally new movie !!

I'm 23 years old and I won't think that. I don't watch Disney channel anymore.

. I wonder how it matters.

Well cause the original is a classic 80's movie. And form what I've seen this is a flimsy version of a remake that barley stays in the originals storyline. When Shrek first came out they had a new version of the song "I'm A Believer" in it @ I remember all the kiddies getting all excited about this brand new song. All they have to do is google stuff like this to see if it's new or original. Sadly kids seem to be getting stupider & can't seem to get that things happened before they were around.

So then it IS a new movie?

reply

Well no a remake is not a new movie it's just a newer version of it. And they basically took the basic plot of the original & made it for today's kids. So the original storyline of a babysitter & the kids she is in charge of end up going on wild adventures is still there, Just kiddied & dumbed down a lot more !!

I know, it's total blasphemy to disgrace such a classic!

I really have to disagree. I know of at least one former "Wonderful World of Disney" movie from my childhood that I'd love to see remade.

These influx of remakes need to stop.

I wouldn't be so quick to write off every remake as cinematic blasphemy. Sure this one is having it's dialogue toned down from the original, and there are going to be some aspects of it that are a little less dated, but it looks like it still could be fun.

Mind you, there are still other movies that I feel shouldn't be remade, and shouldn't have been remade, but this isn't one of them.

reply

It doesn't appear to be a remake - more like "Adventures in Babysitting 2"...

reply

That's what I thought, and I've been watching the original since the 80's.
Like another James Bond movie
I thought it was going to be far worse, even while watching the first part
