More of the same Demo Squad?

I hope this movie won't make me put up with the same demoralizing crap as Rainbow Rocks, where Spike's alleged friends ignored him and smothered Twilight with affection when they departed Equestria, arrived at Canterlot High School, and departed CHS (and probably when they returned to Equestria as well).

So Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity Applejack & Sunset Shimmer must work together to win the cup.

Great! Looks like ignoring the token male character and glorifying gender-exclusive friendship is, once again, the whole damn premise for this stupid thing. And as if to rub salt in the wounds, it even takes place at the Crystal Empire equivalent.

Requiescat in pace Pete Postlethwaite.

Since this film's been out for about a year now, you may have already seen this movie by now. But in case you haven't...

The only Spike we see in this film is the dog from the human world, who appears (along with human world Twilight) at the very end of RAINBOW ROCKS, after the end credits. We never see the dragon Spike from Equestria in this one. The main focus here is on the human world versions of the Mane 6...including Twilight. (That is to say, the Twilight Sparkle who is shown most prominently in this movie is the one who appears at the end of RAINBOW ROCKS, not the alicorn Twilight who's the main character from the TV series and movie.) Of course, Sunset Shimmer is a main character her just like she was in the other "Equestria Girls" movies.
