The daughter couldn't have been any older than 15 at the very most. It is very unlikely any father would find that and not hit the roof!

But even if he was too embarrassed to say anything to her about it and tells the mother instead (as he does in the movie) her reaction is to just laugh?! I don't think so. You'd be horrified haha you certainly wouldn't find it funny.

Also, why does the mother go into the shower with her robe on LOL, I know she hangs it up once she gets in there, but that shower was tiny - it would be soaked!

Reverse the genders. If a mother found evidence that her teenage son was masturbating, would it be more normal to get all upset and hysterically confront him or ignore it? And I'm pretty sure if a mother told a father about his SON, he'd definitely laugh it off.

As for the robe, blame it on more American sexual puritanism. It's the typical Hollywood "non-nudity clause" scene where an actress has to do a shower or sex scene and refuses to actually disrobe because Americans are all weird about that too.

Oh wow I've just noticed these comments and can I just say LOL for a start! Your reaction to my comment is ridiculous haha! Masturbation is completely normal! I Couldn't agree more! In fact I think it's healthy, even children at a young-ish age explore their bodies etc. I have no problem with that whatsoever! But a vibrator is a sex toy that is "marketed and sold for" people age 18+ and I'd be definitely shocked if I found my 13 year old daughter with one in her bedroom! So I was simply stating that their reactions were unrealistic. Chill out lol! I also never said they should punish her jeez!

Oh and btw yes I am a mother with a young son, and a proud one :-)
