I like Martin Clunes he is a good actor. He played Dr Martin Ellingham in the Doc Martin series. He was bossy, rude and more. Now he is thinner, has a mustache and talks with an accent.

This character Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is so different than Doc Martin he is hard to get used to in this part.

The man that plays Woody/Charles Edwards looks more like a man that can play Sherlock Holmes.

I would rather see a new Sherlock Holmes serial than the one with Benedict Cumberbatch which really stinks instead of one about Conan Doyle. The series is new I hope it gets better.

I gave up 10 minutes into episode 1. It was lifeless rubbish. Seemed more daytime TV to me.

Plus as a huge Sherlock fan anything that shows Arthur CD to be a credulous arrogant fool is tough to swallow, however based in fact.
