Where is my romantic spirit?

OK...loved the leads and felt the connection between them. Not sure I'm quite comfortable with his choosing his new love over his old one, but we'll let that go to "happy ending." But as I'm watching, I'm thinking...OK, how is he going to get a Social Security card? Will he go on through the rest of this life making people wonder if he's in the witness protection program? How is he going to adjust to life decades after he last really interacted with society?

See what I mean? I'm getting old and practical. :-(

He doesn't need that.
The income from the Inn will keep him and friend the new Legal Inn owner and his rich girlfriend will cover him for life.

Accustoming to modern time won't be hard besides some challenges to the digital aspect.

If anything one should be worried about is how he came back. But not even that if we accept the sutpetnatual element the answer is god or the universe gifted him to Kate.

As the poster before me said I'm sure he works at the Inn and is paid under the table for those reasons. Or if they chose to move they can live off of one income. But definitely brings up issues. Like can never be legally wed, if they have children can't really be on the birth certificate, and she can't claim him as a dependent. Definitely some issues.
