You wish to see a drug movie?

What a waste of time, effort, fuel, money and yes the expensive popcorns!

imagine if you did the same for your real self improvised life, yes I'm saying this sort of movies, or should I say entire Bollywood movies are just a game of the rich producers/actors, doesn't help you in any way but just leak from your pockets, spend the same time visiting places, play with your pet, children, family socializing, not fall to the trap of these movies.

Sure,why not?

The movie was very informative, brilliant performances especially Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and it has fought moral policing for all future films. If movies are not your thing go spend your money elsewhere but this is an excellent movie as the review ratings, audience packing the theatres and the average imdb rating of 8.2 suggests.

This is one of the best movie from bollywood about drugs and its harmfull effects on adults as well as teens. It will create atleast a little bit of awareness in people not only in punjab but in many states regarding drugs usage. All the performences were top notch. Alia is just outstanding. Nobody will mind spending money, if they are willing to watch a good movie.

I agree here. This movie demands to be seen, personally for me this can change the course of indian cinema.People are complaining that the 2nd half was boring and it pisses me off because 2nd half is the one where we actually see what the director is trying to convey,a small town girl becoming an addict,a rockstar trying to bury his fears with heroine. I mean this movie is genius. The first half is enjoyable because it is filled with "gaaliyaan" (abusive language) and funny dialogues but as soon as the movie starts delivering what it really wants to people complain about it being boring,i feel sad. For crying out loud just stop watching movie for entertainment value and start appreciating the people and very few at that, who are trying to change the course of Indian cinema.
This movie is a masterpiece.
Thankyou Phantom.

True. Ones who are calling 2nd half boring are the same kind of guys we see in movie who says 'gaana gaa ya wapas jaa' :P

This movie is better than most of the *beep* hollywood produces these days. The only comparable drug movie is Requiem of a Dream which from a cinematographic perspective is far better but is completely pointless in address the root causes. Udta Punjab pushed the film board and governments to the limit. It stopped just short of saying that government itself is into drugs. Nowhere can you see this much bravery , not even in Hollywood and yes their government deals in drugs as well.

Also how much do you know about drugs? People who are suffering from drugs? This movie captures all that and shows the brutal side unapologetically. What this movie discusses involves the very future of the young generation in India.

Movie like this is not made for genius like you. You better watch Salman, Shahrukh's movies.
