Promising, but doesn't deliver

Bound by duty to protect Afghan civilians in 2014, French soldiers at a remote outpost are isolated by space, language, and traditions. Alternating their crudely built shacks with sweeping vistas, the cinematography creates tension between the openness of the land and the limits of their minds.
