Then you don't have to watch.

I just don't get it. There are complaints that Show X is just a remake of Show Y. But when they try something different, the network doesn't give it enough time to catch on before pulling the plug.

Just doing something different isn't enough to make a show a success. the writing on this show just wasn't very good. The whole thing seemed to be a series of set-ups for Lynch to deliver mildly amusing banter, not much different from her banter on Glee.

The premise of the show is okay, but the problem is that it takes a back seat to Lynch's banter. Amy might just as well have been a crazy old aunt or a nosy neighbor. They just never do anything with the idea that she's a real angel. No miracles or life-saving moments. Amy hasn't really done anything that a crazy friend couldn't have done.

It's just all rather blah.

Not sure but this is definitely one of those shows that should never have been on regular TV to begin with, Netflix would have been a much better choice for this show, and it would have been given more latitude to develop. Sure the writing isn't great, but I feel that is due to the censoring of topics... which on Netflix they wouldn't have had to do.

I understand why companies like CBS, ABC etc want more shows like this, to compete against Netflix etc, but these shows are better off on Netflix, Hulu, or Crave/Shomi in Canada (neither of right now are coming out with original content). It would have been better written and would have pushed the envelope more (Braindead and Wrecked also come to mind on this ...)

Since they are playing the episodes that were supposed to air last fall, I think that they are clearing the shelves of the remaining episodes. They seemed to give up on it before it could find its audience.
