Better than the McCarthys

Remember that show? I watched one episode and thought "nah - not for me", despite the great Laurie Metcalfe.

Now we have the great Martha Plimpton, another ex-Steppenwolfer, and I thought this was going to be a carbon copy of the McCarthys, but guess what, it seems to have learned from the former show's mistakes. True, I've only watched 2 episodes, but I liked them and thought they were funny, especially the dolt of a jock son who's anorexic and the scheming scamming nerd daughter.

Heard some put-downs and decided to give it a chance to see for myself. Now I'm glad I did.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
