The effeminate kid should have been the main character
His struggle and perspective would have been more interesting. Kenny isn't likable and having everyone feel sorry for him doesn't help either

shareKenny IS the main character, it's him who tells the story at the beginning of each episode. Like the main character from " the middle " is the wife because that's her who tells the story.
shareI think he means the apparently obvious gay kid who is still in the closet at school. He's much more effeminate than Kenny. He has the girlfriend. You see him making out with her. He was the understudy for Kenny in the play.
Obviously, this would be a different show then, but that is what the OP is saying.
Wouldn't it be funny, though, if the kid turned out to be like Lyle, the Effeminate Heterosexual from SNL 25 years ago or so.
