The vice principal dating the O'Neil mom is the same character as the small white kid friend on Fresh Off the Boat.
Tonight's episode of Fresh Off the Boat ended with Eddie and crew eating lunch in the school cafeteria. They ended up being one seat shy at the table and one kid sat on the floor.
Immediately following was a new episode of The Real O'Neils in which the vice principal guy was forced to sit on the floor at supper because they were out of seats.
Coincidence?...not likely.

Seeing as how the VP in O'NEALS is at youngest in his early 40s and Eddie and his friends would be in their early to mid 30s, it's not likely.
