Ditch Noah Galvin and do it NOW

Then the show will have a chance at surviving beyond 2 - 3 seasons. But the annoying over the top gay character gets old and that's all he will ever do. I am gay and he makes me want to protest gay parades LOL This is the most this actor will ever do. Shoulda been a little more humble.

I disagree. Noah may not have been subjected to PR training yet, but he makes the show. ABC's going to have to sit him down and read him the riot act about all of the things he's not allowed to say and the opinions he's not allowed to hold (heck, they probably already have) but they're not going to get rid of him. They know that with the team of writers they've assembled and the strength of its supporting cast, this show has the potential to find an audience and take off, but that won't happen without Noah.

reply

Noah may be a decent actor, but most of the offense comes from his character's over-the-top gayness. If the show is going to survive, that needs to be calmed down.....

reply

What's wrong with it? People are like him. IM like him. So... what's the problem?

reply

The problem is SOME people are like him, and that's fine. I'm gay and I'm not. Nor are any of my gay friends. If you saw tonight's episode, you'll see -- they basically portrayed all the gay males as feminine, in drag and acting campy. Sure, some do, but most don't.

reply

It was a Halloween party! Not all the gay boys were in drag, either! Geez!

reply

Almost all of them were. At least the ones that were focused on. I mean, a little variety isn't a bad thing.

reply

Geez right back at you. ;) That was one episode -- we're talking collectively here, with last night's episode being a prime example of the point. Sorry, don't know if you're gay or not, but regardless, I'm sure any false stereotypes about you rub you the wrong way. Geez! ;)

I watched it again and counted only three boys definitely in drag.

reply

He isn't even over the top.

reply

I'm gay and I don't act anything like that. That's fine that people do, but the show so far, pretty much like everything on TV, is portraying all gay guys as being over the top and cartoonish. It's annoying and old.

reply

So annoying and so old. Some people on here think we're all the same and we all go to the Gay Pride parades -- apparently, they think we all share the same brain, get dressed up like women and connect via Skype to gossip every night. 

reply

If you think his character is over the top gay, you must have real issues with real gay people. I would describe his character as slightly effeminate, but pretty low key.

reply

Right. And Freddie Mercury was just a bit camp? Hahahaha.

reply

The mean kid from the drama school at his Halloween party is what I would describe as over-the-top gay.
