Show is absolutely terrible

The gay kid ruins it. The show might have a chance without him, but the way it is after the first couple episodes is terrible.

reply

Really? I think the mom is god awful

reply

I think all the characters are great! This is one of my favorite new shows of the 2015-16 TV season. Really hope it is renewed for a second season!

reply

Me too DW! This is my laugh out loud show for the evening. The cast is perfect and the writing is clever. Praying for a 2nd season.

reply

Both the mother and the gay son are ruining the show.. Both of them are too much. They need to cool down. Why is everything the gay son does related to his sexuality? Why is the mother so "on" all the time?

reply

That is clearly the point. All the characters have hightened personas.

reply

But that formula has been splendidly successful for ABC's other family-based sitcoms: Gloria Delgado Pritchet is a bellowing, provocative feisty Latina cartoon, Claire Dunphy a boozy housewife trying to tamp down her free-wheeling past, Cam Tucker a hyper-sensitive jazz hands emoji.

reply

Martavisgriffin: You're absolutely right; I've seen every episode so far and the writing has gone downhill. Kenny's 'only' facial expression has gotten old. I can't see how they can continue with another season. Martha Plimpton is not being used well in this show; she's overqualified. It needs to end.

reply

So, because you don't like it then it should end, right? SMH! Narcissism much? How about you just turn the channel and watch something you do like and let the people who watch this show enjoy it? It's really that simple.

reply

It is still a on the bubble. This last week it had the same ratings as the previous week, so it doesn't look like it is dipping.

reply

It seems to be steady each week.

reply

Obviously a homophobe.

reply

I like the characters and the show is entertaining + hilarious !

reply

Bottom line: the show is not funny.

reply

bottom line : the show is funny and yes characters are overly exaggerated.. that's why it's called a comedy sitcom...

reply

Not even close.

reply

"The gay kid ruins it" ....you mean the lead in the show? Without "the gay kid" there is no show. Darn it, if only there were some other shows on the air that didn't have a gay character as the lead, huh? Oh wait...

reply

I always thought the really weak part of Frasier was Frasier. Without him the show could have been so much funnier.

reply

I've said the exact same thing about "Frasier" for several years, lol.
