I get that ALEX convinced him to return home, but why did he started to help ARQUÍMIDES again?

Entiendo que ALEX lo convenció para que volviera a casa, ¿pero por qué empezó a ayudar a ARQUÍMIDES de nuevo?

I think the father did the same thing he did with Alejandro.

The old man waved some cash at the young-broke man, and Maguila thought the family was doing a good job with the crimes, financially and in the execution of the plans. I guess he believed it was safe. And I dont think he knew that his father killed the victims.

Hola desde el futuro. Lo que pensé es que parte del rollo que le tiró Alex es que Maguila le tenía que hacer la gamba y volver para "ayudar" al viejo porque él (Alex) estaba por empezar una familia.

(I thought that maybe Alex convinced Maguila to return to help the dad because he, Alex, was gonna get married and wanted out.)

Es decir, "hacer la gamba" es ayudar.
