What a surprising film!

Recently I have come away from Pablo Trapero films a little bit disappointed, so i had my hesitations with this one, but the director has really hit the nail on the head with this one! a very disturbing tale, made even more horrifying, considering it was based on real events. Read up on the Puccio Clan and you will get a taste of what you will experience in this movie! Guillermo Francella proves that he is not only a great comedian, but an unbelievable actor! Bravo!

you can't turn a turtle into a racehorse, but you can make it into a very fast turtle!

I haven't seen anything by Trapero before, though I heard some good things, specially about his earlier works. I only saw trailers and that stuff. I'm problably going to watch this soon. Hope it lives up to the expectatives.

Trapero is a prolific director in Argentina, but this is definitely his best work! I hope you like it!

reply

I've seen it and it's definetly a great film.

I can't wait for this to come out in Europe. If it's as good as "The Secret in Their Eyes", I am in for a treat!

reply

Not as good.

reply

Nowhere near the thematic richness of "The Secret in Their Eyes," which is one of the best and most fully realized screenplays and films of all time. This picture is very watchable, well made and compelling, but without the same richness of construction.

reply

A vergy good movie, totally worth watching, but don't expect anything like The Secret in Their Eyes, one of the greatest movies ever.

reply

I recommend you El Bonaerense, a perfect picture of the terrible Buenos Aires Police Service.

reply

Could someone translate what happened to the people involved in the end, the text about the sentences? The subtitles didn't work at that point.

reply

You could read what happened to them on Wikipedia. Look up the Puccio clan.
