Tango Dancers and Episode 05

Episode 5 was definitely my favorite for many reasons,
and reasons included the tango sequence in mid-con.
I had begun thinking about the casting of the Prime Minister Carla Velasquez and husband Diego, and sure enough researching them today, they both come up as professional tango dancers with serious credits to their names.

Their real names are Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo, and they have choreographed on So You Think You Can Dance numerous times, and were a part of a tango documentary "Through the Heart of Tango: A Documentary About the Art of Connection (2013)".

I am sure they not only kicked off that terrific tango, but did the choreography for all parties involved in the dance (camerawork was also excellent for the sequence).

One interesting note: It's interesting to me that for people who watched this, a number didn't seem to be able to grasp the WOMAN as the prime minister rather than her husband--that in spite of Felicity's pointed line on entering the hall: "I do LOVE a woman prime minister".
