Two new cast members

Looks like T.R. Knight and Gina Torres are going to have "recurring" cast members... Yay!
How would you or how would you define "recurring"?

reply

So recurring would mean definitely more than a "guest star" on one episode. There were different kinds of recurring characters in Season One. Whereas Lesley Nicol as "Mom" of the Kensington clan seemed to be a "guest star" in that double episode finale, Rhys was definitely a recurring character--not seen until 6th episode but prominent from then on. On the other hand, Alan Ruck was also a recurring character as Val's ex-husband and later lawyer for Ben, even though he was only actually seen on screen in 2 episodes (I would expect to see more of him this season).

I forgot that Alaan Ruck is the stairs husband. This show was so hot when it aired! I hope it's coming back.

reply

Sorry I meant. The star's husband is Alan Ruck.

They are shooting Season Two right now: started shooting end of August, but Season 2 won't *air* until March 2017. Seems like a long wait. In the meantime, Season One DVD will be out this Tuesday Sept 27th: they promise some "extras", including deleted scenes, so I am keeping fingers crossed for at least a bit of new content.

And yes Alan Ruck is married to Mireille Enos. I like his character in The Catch. Even though seen only in a few scenes, he made an impression and is a really pivotal character, both in the triangle of Val-Dao-Gordon(Alan Ruck), and also as Ben's attorney--which HAS to be important this season. Alan Ruck is also supposed to be featured in the new version of The Exorcist which just started airing; I wish I could watch, but I just can't tolerate horror films!

Don't blink. It'll be March 2017 sooner that we all wish...

The thing that makes me sad about the long delay before Season Two, is that I may not be around to see it. By the end of March, I may be gone. I know when the renewal was announced last May that I had a very split reaction: delight that the show had earned the renewal, but deep sorrow that my illness might not permit me to stay on this earth long enough to see Season Two. At this point, the best chance would be 50/50, and an even longer shot that I would live to see the end of the run in May. So the delay to March 2017 is a really big deal to me. To some extent I have come to terms with the fact that this is just one more thing I must leave behind unfinished in this world, but when I learned that they screened the Season Two premiere in Cannes France already on October 18, I admit that I was really jealous. So be it. I hope it is a wonderful ride for everyone, even if I am not there.

Wow...I'm so sorry to read that. Perhaps your doctor or representative can contact Shonda et al about your situation and maybe they can arrange for you to see the premiere and/or see episodes early.
