London Film Festival

Looking forward to this film. It will be showing at the London Film Festival from 16 to 18 October. However it seems to be showing under a different title "Office".

Anyone know if it is just in Mandarin or also Cantonese?

I have a ticket for the screening on Saturday 17th. The ticket lists the film as being in 3D.

On screen title 'Office'. In Mandarin with English Subtitles and shown in 3D. I saw it this afternoon at the VUE West End.

Hi Matthew,

Yes, I saw it last night with a couple of friends at VUE West End Screen 5. Johnnie To and Sylvia Chang and Tang Wei did a little intro at the beginning. Johnnie spoke in Cantonese with an interpreter but Sylvia spoke fluent English. Tang Wei said a couple of words in English about difficulty singing for film.

The film itself was actually in both Cantonese and Mandarin with English subtitles. All the songs were in Mandarin but I'd say the spoken language was predominantly in Cantonese which was what I was hoping for. Yay for Cantonese speakers!

I really rather enjoyed the film. The art production was slick and sleek. Didn't think much of the music/songs although some of them sounded like a Chinese workers anthem which is what the film was portraying. Enough drama to keep you interested. Rather surreal quality to it.

Johnnie To was not at my screening but the other two were. Tang Wei did not say a lot probably about two sentences. It thought that the 3D was pointless it did not add anything to the film.
