Is Whitney really a bad person?

I'll admit Whitney is a huge mess. However, I feel like people are a little dramatic, when they make her out to be this awful person. To me she is a broken woman who needs psychological help and isn't even aware of it.

Agreed.

She's not a bad person, she's just hugely delusional.

Eh, I know what you mean.

I don't think she's a bad person. However, I do find her unpleasant. She comes across as very self centered and can be an emotionally draining person to watch. She is also very loud and intrusive which can incite strong reactions from others. Whitney also likes to dismiss real constructive criticism as fat-shaming/fat-phobia. She doesn't realize that she *is* a bad example. Not because of her weight, but because of her behavior.

- She is very vocal about her limitations due to her weight, but then refuses to see her weight as any kind of issue. She also wont acknowledge that her dependence on others is troubling, especially at her young age. Many of the physical limitations she has (putting on her shoes, picking up shampoo bottles without injury, etc) would be solved by changing her lifestyle, and she angers viewers when she complains so much about things that are well within her ability to change.

- She claims to be all about body positivity, but doesn't acknowledge that body positivity doesn't have to equate with complacency. I fully agree that people shouldn't be made fun of, for weight or any other reason. But that doesn't mean that everyone is perfect the way they are and shouldn't strive to better themselves. And honestly, body positivity shouldn't be only about weight.

- She insists on those around her being fully indoctrinated into her vision of herself. When anyone seems to disagree with Whitney's choices or lifestyle, its treated like a betrayal. Her family and friends can't be truly honest with her without being shut out.

- It's wonderful that she enjoys to dance. It's wonderful that she likes to share her love of dance. But it doesn't mean that she is good at it, and I don't like how she seeks out awards and accolades for her dancing while being so limited in movement. Her enjoyment of the activity should be enough- why must we also reward mediocrity?

I view her the same way as many other reality show participants (Kardashians, Real Housewives, Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, etc): loud with nothing real to contribute to society.

You pretty much said it all.

She a hypocritical bully, nothing more, nothing less. People are critical of her because she is delusional in the sense of she thinks she does nothing wrong and the world is out to get her.

It is only a matter of time before she ends up on My 600 lb life.

The more personalities you have the less boring you are!
