Broadly Dumb

This show is has an interesting premise and I was hoping for the best. Sadly, the great cast is totally wasted and the writing aims far too low. When the smartest character in the ensemble is a little girl, there's nothing much to build on. Beyond the wise-beyond-her-years cliche of a kid, there are two ditzy mothers and a controlling wife, then all the males are written to be broadly played dimwits. It's cringe-worthy, low-intelligence silliness and almost zero wit. Sorry, this one just aims too low.
