Just feels so forced

Something about this show just feels so forced. I agree it has gotten a bit better with time - I was laughing out loud during the scene with Colin Hanks and the cop which is a huge, significant change for me from the pilot (I didn't really watch episode 2) But I feel like they're trying to jump right in and sell us on this quirky family which totally steals from the modern family setup, and acting like it's this unique fresh new thing when it's absolutely not (in fact the little 6 minute stories take away from it in my opinion as you can't get to know any of the characters in any significant way in that little amount of time)

I just love Colin Hanks to pieces and think he's so funny, and James Brolin is obviously a legend, but this show just is not working for me. However, I was initially so convinced it was going to be canceled early in the season and now I'm not so sure.

Oh and Diane Wiest is seriously the worst. The little girl voice just grates on the nerves. And the girl playing Thomas Sadoski's girlfriend is legit one of the most terrible actresses on tv right now.

Agree. Everything here is forced. Sad.

It was too dry. But the little girl was very funny.
