You know it's bad when Bruce Willis is in a movie with

Dan Blizerian, also genuinely shocked this even making it to theaters

reply

I thought you were gonna say Gina Carano or Kellan Lutz' Penis. HAHA

reply

It probably only made it to the theaters courtesy of the Church of $cientology or something. Movies like that need financial backup to be released and the $cientologists have a vested interest in getting their stars out there.

So who is the scientologist here?

reply

WTF are you babbling about? Willis was openly hostile towards scientology.

In fact Moore left Scientology to be with Willis and he refused to let his step kids be infected with that garbage.

This turd is a Hollywood direct to dvd steamer Scientology has nothing to do with this.

Scientology is still a crock of crazy **** worthy of hatred and revulsion however.

How come Bruce Willis career suddenly ended? He went from the awesome blockbuster and successfull Die Hard 4 to making russian or chinese b-movie action flicks that just rehashes his old roles?

reply

I've wondered what happened with him, too. He was making good movies and then, all of a sudden, all these straight to video and barely B movies started coming out.

Hollywood happened. Most of those guys over 50 not getting any high profile roles anymore. Look at Nic Cage, Pierce Brosnan, Adrien Brody, John Cusack....guys who had some box office success but now only star in overseas produced films.

reply

At least the others you've mentioned get paid for doing the whole movie. Willis gets paid for doing nothing more than a cameo and gets top billing. This has been the rule rather than the exception lately. They pay him for his name and nothing more. There hasn't been an actual Bruce Willis movie for quite some time.

First off, Nic Cage has a terrible reputation in Hollywood as being very difficult to work with. Not to mention he had all of those financial problems which didn't make him look very good at all. Its not shocking at all that quality roles dried up for him a ways back. As for Pierce Brosnan, he is still making plenty of films and none of them are straight to DVD video's. They may not be the quality films one used to see him in, but his is still highly active and making plenty of films. As for Adrien Brody, he has been in films like Predators, The Grand Budapest Hotel, etc. Like Brosnan, Brody isn't seeing the really high quality films like he used too but he is still active outside of the straight to video market. John Cusack has made 18 films since 2013 and none of them were straight to video projects.

Obviously the older these stars get, the less likely they are to see the high quality roles we were accustomed to seeing them in. This is even worse for women in Hollywood. By the time they hit thier mid 40's, you can pretty much guarantee they will see 75% of the quality roles dry up.

Bruce Willis and Nic Cage are the only 2 you mentioned that dove head first into the straight for DVD market and again, with Cage its for his personal life as much as it is his renowned difficulty to work with. Bruce Willis on the other hand is quite the mystery. By all accounts, he is a pretty good guy to work with, is very professional on set, and had a significant fan base at one time. Why Hollywood decided to show him the door and relegate him to crappy straight to video films is beyond me. Clearly something happened that people don't know about as I have no doubt Bruce Willis still has the ability to draw enough people into a theatre to cast him in some decent films, even if its just in as a co-star and not the main draw.

Still Shooting With Film!

These days you know it's bad when Bruce Willis is in it ... PERIOD. He used to be one of my favourites. Now he's in all these movies where he is billed first but NOT the star of the movie. Often, he's not on screen for more than 10 minutes in total. It's sad when they become a star who's quality you can't trust.

reply

It is a bad movie when Bruce is on his $1 million a day deals.

It's that man again!!
