Xenophobia mockery?

There are —according to the credits— three tourists: a Scandinavian, an Indian, and a Senegalese. However, when the greasy strangler attacks the Indian tourist, he talks about a Detroit business he owns. Should we understand this as a parody on racism and xenophobia? I mean, it looks like a scorn on the prejudice that anybody not properly white must be a tourist.

reply

Can't an Indian tourist own a factory in Detroit?

reply

I also wonder whether a guy from Detroit can be considered a tourist in California?

reply

I think he said it was in Denver.
