One question on the finale

There's one thing I didn't get about the finale. What was the purpose of the almost unbreakable code that prevented someone from using someone else's tank? Seriously, what did those few digits actually do and how did it work?

it was coded to alexa's dna, which is kind of dumb when you consider it was her tank in her home, given by graft for her sole use.

It was merely a plot device for drama and to get around the 'quick fix' for pritchard.

For some reason you need encrypted codes for secret tanks. Like anyone is going to come in and jump into your pool. They should be universal. It looks like those rejuvenation pools they have at overpriced health spas.

I think television producers forget that everyone doesn't set at home every night and watch TV the way we did 10 years ago not to mention 40 years ago where they are using an outdated formula to caculate a shoes viewership. We live in a world of streaming and dvrs. This show and too many others are being killed off network tv because the die hard viewers don't watch TV the way our grandparents did. I stream a lot being disabled with kids at home it works better for me to be able to pause a show tend to kids or health needs and then come back and finish a show and I know I'm not a lone streamer. Plus many people work nights and dvr shows and watch them after they air it doesn't mean the show isn't being watched it just means tv executives need to grow with technology and realize they need to count streaming and dvr viewers to to really Guage a shows popularity and profitability.

I could understand if it was coded to DNA but it was coded numbers and no one could crack it, oh please.
