Terrific companion piece to NOSTALGIA FOR THE LIGHT

NOSTALGIA FOR THE LIGHT is one of the best Documentaries of this century so far - scratch that - it's simply one of the best movies of the century so far, period.

PEARL BUTTON isn't quite up to that level (some of the scenes come off as a bit flat and contrast too much with the more poetic material). Still, it is a fascinating companion piece to NOSTALGIA - call it 'NOSTALGIA FOR THE OCEAN'.

I agree. Nostalgia for the Light was mesmeric. The Pearl Button does not flow as well although I was gripped by the end so Guzman pulls it back. I don't think Guzman resonates with the oceans he does the sky and the universe.
