Is it just me or is it kinda weird and waaaaay out of left field that max and Chloë have a romance going on. Like not only had the game made any reference to there being anything romantic between them but then SPOILERS: one of the final desicions is to kiss Chloë just before you go back in time
shareHow romantically attached Max and Chloe get is all dependent on player choices; Chloe is the one who makes the initial flirty advances towards Max. Although Chloe's sexuality isn't explicitly revealed, there are numerous hints throughout she is at least bisexual. How Max responds to this is entirely up to the player.
Whether or not Max and Chloe kiss if the Sacrifice Chloe ending is chosen depends on various selections the player has made earlier in the game: rejecting Chloe's invitation to kiss her, not taking Chloe's side enough of the time (eg, taking the blame for the joint, attempting to shoot Frank, letting Chloe steal the money, etc.) or getting too close to Warren, will all result in Max and Chloe merely embracing in the final scene.
The real point about Max and Chloe's friendship is that, whatever choices Max makes, Chloe's devotion to her remains absolute regardless.
