My Choice (MAJOR Spoiler)

I sacrificed the town for Chloe.

No regrets.

Same.

I did not. I chose the town without hesitation. Having seen both endings on YouTube, I feel I made the right call. The 'Chloe being alive' ending is short, unsatisfying, and there's a LOT of damage to Arcadia Bay both emotionally and physically -- not how I wanted to leave things. One person is not worth the destruction it caused to many, including a lot of fatalities.

I sort of agreed with the principle concept -- the butterfly effect / chaos theory stuff. Chloe was supposed to die. Even with Max saving her originally, Chloe still ended up being put in harm's way (the train, the crippling paralysis, etc) and either would have died without Max's intervention, or wanted to be euthanized etc. It was the universe "self-correcting", as they say... so I saw it as fitting to let Chloe die, because that was what was "supposed" to transpire.

Oh, and I also got every photo in all episodes. I'm not a completionist usually, but I felt the need to do so lol. Some of them in episode 5 were really tough, especially during the nightmare sequence.

Choose Chole because thast what I would do in the real world and not choosing here would make playing the entire game pointless because the paradox would make NOTHING happen

Not pointless. With her power, Max manages to change people (Victoria, Kate, David, Frank) around her to be better than they were, also makes some responsible people (Jefferson, Nathan, Sean Prescott) to pay for what they did.

By sacrificing Chloe, Max learns that Chloe's death (which's what happened in the 1st place) needs to happen so that her actions throughout the game won't be in vain. If she sacrifices the town, then many people she's supposed to save by using her power will be dead because of the tornado. I also consider that if Max choose Chloe then her power will be used unjustifiably to selfishly save her best friend rather than many more people who're not supposed to die without the butterfly effect that's caused by her saving Chloe in the start.
By comparing the 2 endings, the "Sacrifice Chloe" ending scene's the superior one too IMHO.
Took me about 20 seconds to pick that decision. A bit sad/empty without Chloe but in the end it's quite satisfying as well as relieving.

But all those changes would've been erased with her warp back to the bathroom.

But ultimately this all stemmed from the fact that Max was a witness to Chloe's murder, which she always was anyway. The events of the game have no bearing on that outcome, so it's pointless.

But Max armed with the knowledge she now has could still effectively change these people for the better.

See above.
Max could still inform the police about the 'dark room' and all the evidence held in it.

Chloe may have to die (to avoid the tornado), but that does not take anything away from what Max has learned and the fact she could still use that information in the same way as before.

And so, God came forth and proclaimed widescreen is the best.

Me too. I spent a whole week of my life doing everything in my power to save that girl, this was the next step. In my head I was already mentally ripping up that picture before the game even gave me the option. If I didn't get the option, I kid you not I would have just turned off the game, if it was the only way.

I couldn't imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous winter! 

After keeping her alive for the whole game I saved her in the end but that ending was unsatisfying.
They drive happy out of town.
Sure there were some a-holes in this town but without some others they would be both dead. And there is Joyce, when Chloes father died it was hell for her but the death of her mother doesnt seem to bother her.

I sacrificed Chloe without a doubt. It was pretty clear from the very start how it will end, because all the natural havoc started from saving her.
And there was the butterfly so clearly there was a butterfly effect occurring.
I like to analyze things so I came to the conclusion that Chloe's destiny was to die there in thw girls bathroom by Nathans hand and it would set course to the events that would reveal Jefferson being a psycho.
Sure I had to see both endings and the destruction of Archadia bay was kind of stupid, I mean who would choose one instead of hundreds or thousands?
When clearly Max was not meant to save Chloe in the first place. It was like the universe was trying to fix the wrong she did.
But I was disappointed to the second option of destruction of the town.
I think a better option for that would have been sacrificing Max instead of Chloe. What if she would have stepped out and got shot instead? Chloe would have found out what happened to Rachel, she would have had anything binding her there anymore and she probably would have left town. For me this would have worked better as a second option ending.
Max's death by the hand of Nathan would have worked the same and it would have possibly fixed the course since in a way she changes nothing else than the person who dies.
In the game there is that deer you see sometimes around, and I think it was Max. Since she wore and drew pics of the deer and Nathan said it was her spirit animal.
It would have fit if the whole meaning of Max's journey would have been to understand that Chloe and her were not supposed to be both alive at that time. So either her or Chloe would have to die. Or maybe it was her who should have been shot. She was so shy and afraid before her adventures with Chloe and she discovered her ability to rewind at the moment when Chloe was shot.
What if it would have been only because she defied her own faith because she was afraid? And once she grew as a person and became unafraid and did what she had to to save her friend.
Oh well, I think it would have worked better. Would have been more dramatic option with more meaning than destroying a whole city.
But a good game.

I sacrificed Chloe with no regrets. I didn't like her. She was a living *beep* storm everywhere she went. Why kill a bunch of innocent people to keep her alive.

If this was real life, I would sacrifice Chloe because it was her fate and she even accepted it.

As a gamer, I wanted to be different and see what would happen if she was to survive since you work so hard to keep her alive.

Also, if the universe gave Max rewind powers to save her over and over again, then it must have been the town's fate.

Call it moral or not, but I mean there's no point spending time saving someone over and over again with a special power and not actually save them in the end. That's just my opinion based on the game.

Great game. It definitely got creepy at the end too.
