Hated hated HATED the final chapter (SPOILERS)

Oh wow, this game was great until the final chapter. Then it just became a confusing hot mess and that nightmare stealth sequence had me about to throw my controller. It went from being a compelling mystery to a game that kinda loses it at the end and becomes needlessly laborious and convoluted. I stopped caring about the characters and just wanted it to be over. The game's simplicity and tightness just evaporate in that final chapter.

Also, all those decisions in the game seem to make no difference. You only have 2 final choices- save Chloe or save the town. As far as I know, this happens regardless of how you've played the game. I felt a little cheated.

Very good game but it misses its chance at greatness in the end.

Yup, hated it too. Besides the whole chapter being a GD chore to play, that ending was pure trash. Hell, even Mass Effect 3 gave you 3 choices, and all of them felt equally good or bad. LiS, on the other hand, clearly wanted you to let Chloe die given the massive difference in effort put into the two endings.
F DONTNOD, I'll play my game the way I want, thanks.

I saved Chloe. Screw Arcadia Bay and it's BS.

I did the same thing....I saved Chloe, despite her own pleadings and the game's seeming desire to have you do away with her (as you mentioned). I figured that Max had been blamed during the entire game for abandoning Chloe before so it seemed like a no-brainer to stand by her this time.

I can't imagine there will be a sequel (maybe a new game with different characters?) but they need to tighten the thing up, especially when dealing with an ending.

The 2 choices at the end were the whole point. In all of these Butterfly Effect stories the lesson you learn is that going back and changing things will wreck everything, so you have to accept things as they were (negating the choices you made in the game) or else live in a severely wrecked world. Max has that realization at the end & there could not be more choices or there is no point to the story.

Supposedly dontnod rushed to finish ep 5,IDK if that had any affect on the endings. Also
There are some comics(Course they aren't canon) were Choloe is alive and is renuinted with Rachel. Of Course Max becomes friends with Rach too. I haven't read them yet but some of my friends have,I hear they are good reads

Not sure if it's canon or not but the Life is Strange Comic series (Issue 12 upcoming in January) follows the choice of Chloe being saved and Arcadia Bay -mostly- destroyed, my preferable ending to the first game.

the last chapter felt rather rushed and most decisions you made earlier seemed rather useless and not important when you are left with a simple binary choice
