His most underrated, and best special

Title is IMO, of course. I shouldn't have to state that... guess I don't, but I did.

I have seen every Louis special. Each view count ranges somewhere in the double digits. The fact this, his newest special, is filmed at an actual club (let alone the world famous Comedy Store), gives it a leg up over all his previous hours. But even if I disregard the venue, to the best of my ability, it still stands out.

The material is his most honest and vulnerable to date. The bit(s) on death (thank you... more material on death please, comics) and being able to cover himself and his daughters, lock the doors, eat, sleep, die? They're sad, hilarious, and beautiful. And I think they'll soon be held among the classic comedy bits of all time.

Could write more. Possibly to a semi-ish-totally disturbing level. Maybe I will if others are interested.

I wholeheartedly agree. On the other hand I can totally see why people who don't watch nearly as much of his stuff as myself would feel like(some of) his other shows might be funnier. But if you are like me and have been observing the evolution of his Act closely over the years you'll certainly be able to tell that there is so much more to this Special than one might think after watching it once. The closer you get to feeling like being inside of his head, the easier it becomes to go along with whatever he might throw at you, which is of course true with most Stand-up Comedians.
