In season 2 episode 8 'The Hack Super Villain' there was a guy who made a keg urinal. He said that urine is sterile....so not true. Urine is full of bacteria. He said you could drain it into a garden...I'll leave that for him to do. I'm not eating pee veggies. Gross. That was a disgusting 'hack' that wasn't so much of a hack as an arts and crafts project.

Urine is sterile, what many people fail to mention is the rest of the sentence- urine us sterile while still in the bladder. But it is pretty close to sterile. Also using brown water for your garden supplies it with natural nitrogen that is essential for plant growth. You mention not wanting to eat "pee veggies" but you didn't mention the fact that fertilizer is made (mostly) from feces. Just remember to wash your fruits and vegetables before eating, more for the pesticide residue (yes, even on organic) and to avoid a case of E-coli (which is in all soil).
